This is why Mika Brzezinski says Kellyanne Conway is 'politics porn

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski accused CNN of creating "politics porn" on Friday’s broadcast of "Morning Joe" over its continued airings of Kellyanne Conway interviews.

"You've got to stop putting Kellyanne on the air," Brzezinski pleaded with the network. "It's politics porn. You're just getting your little ratings crack, OK, but it's disgusting."

Brzezinski took an even bigger shot at Conway, and intimated that Conway was being used by CNN to increase viewership.

"There's nothing that she brings to the table that's honest," Brzezinski continued. "Your hosts know it. Your hosts look pained when they interview her because they're just doing politics porn — they're not doing news. We need to stick to the news," Brzezinski insisted.

Conway appeared on CNN twice this week in defense of President Donald Trump's firing of former FBI Director James Comey.

Anderson Cooper interviewed Conway on Tuesday, and she insisted that Trump's dismissal of Comey was not a "coverup." She told Cooper, "It’s not a coverup. In fact, the president makes very clear in his letter the fact that Mr. Comey on at least three occasions assured him he is not under investigation."

On Wednesday, Conway sat with CNN's Chris Cuomo for an interview where she also discussed the Comey firing.

She described Trump's ideal candidate for FBI director and told Cuomo, "President Trump wants an FBI director who’s impartial, who’s not politicized, and who has the confidence and the trust of people in the bureau, of Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill, of the attorney general, of the deputy attorney general who oversees the FBI director, and of the president of the United States."
