Whoopi Goldberg's Donald Trump comments were so crude that she was censored on daytime TV

Chelsea Handler was Monday's guest panelist on "The View," but it was co-host Whoopi Goldberg who was censored on daytime television after she made crude comments about President Donald Trump.

Handler recently spent some time in Washington, D.C., where she tweeted a photo of herself with Al Franken captioned "Spending a couple days in DC spending time w/people who actually care about the general safety of our country. @alfranken #giantinthesenate."

Discussing Handler's recent trip to to the nation's capital, she said, "They're pretty, like, scared. Everybody just doesn't understand what's happening. Like, how this happened. How it's going to unfold. It's the same anywhere in any big city. People are like, 'What's gonna happen next?' Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. ... So, I really don't know. Every time I think it's the end, it's not."

For her part, Goldberg referred to Trump's presidency as a horror/sci-fi movie, but it didn't end there.

"It's like a horror/sci-fi movie," she said. "You're living your life and suddenly there's the monster! And your panties are wet, the whole thing. For all the wrong reasons!"

"For all the wrong reasons!" Handler cried. "Not what you're implying."

ABC networks attempted to bleep Goldberg's "wet panties" comments, but they were too late on the uptake and her comments slid through.

"I have a fantasy," Handler continued. "I want Melania to finally just come out and divorce him. She would be an American hero. We would embrace her if she just said listen, 'This guy's disgusting, I know all his dirty secrets! and I'm willing to tell everybody!'"
