Donald Trump Jr. & Twitter school CNN's Jim Acosta over his response to Trump tweet

Jim Acosta, CNN's senior White House correspondent, really stepped in it on Sunday when he pointed out on Twitter that pro wrestling is fake in response to a tweet by President Donald Trump, leading to widespread criticism of his employer.

Trump ignited controversy on Sunday when he tweeted a video of himself literally slamming "CNN" to the ground and beating it. The footage was of Trump from a WrestleMania event in 2007 and the CNN logo was superimposed over the wrestler's head who Trump took down.

The tweet led to many saying Trump was inciting violence against the media, rhetoric that Ana Navarro said would lead to a reporter's murder. Other's called on Trump to be impeached over the tweet, while Trump was even compared to brutal dictators like former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.

Acosta never followed up his tweet with anything other than CNN's official response to Trump's tweet and some reaction.

But Twitter was more than happy to answer Acosta's question — including Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr:

While others pointed out that pro wrestling is scripted, not fake:
