A Kentucky sheriff's deputy apparently thought it would be funny to snap a photo of himself smiling and giving a thumbs-up right next to an unconscious woman — and then posting the photo to social media.

The photo's caption — just below the woman in a vehicle driver's seat — reads, "Another day at work."

Now the deputy behind the photo won't be having any more of them.

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith caught wind of the photo Tuesday morning and began an internal investigation — and it found deputy John Luttrell took the photograph and posted it to social media, WYMT-TV reported.

Deputy William Stewart on Wednesday confirmed to TheBlaze that Luttrell is the officer in the photo. Smith accepted Luttrell's resignation amid the investigation, the station said.

“The sheriff’s office is committed to providing professional, transparent service to the people of Knox County, and will hold all of its employees to that standard,” Smith said in a Tuesday statement to The Mountain Advocate.
