The hosts and audience of "The View" joyously celebrated the breaking news that former Trump national security adviser Mike Flynn would testify against President Donald Trump. But there was a big catch they didn't know about.
Here's the video of their celebrating the Flynn news:
FLYNN PROMISES 'FULL COOPERATION': The co-hosts react to breaking news that Michael Flynn promised "full cooperation," prepared to testify that Donald Trump "directed him to make contact with the Russians" during campaign. pic.twitter.com/KtmDGuyqfy

"ABC News' Brian Ross is reporting Michael Flynn offered full cooperation to the Mueller team and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians! Yes!" Joy Behar reported.
She burst into applause along with the audience.
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and it's beginning to look a lot like collusion," said guest Ana Navarro.
Behar continued on to call the news the "antithesis of election night" when she was in mourning. The hosts went on to debate whether it was happy just for Democrats or if it was a good thing for America.
Here's what they missed:
The story that Behar read was false. ABC News later "corrected" the story, and was highly criticized for not completely retracting it.
ABC cited an anonymous confidante of Flynn who later corrected their statement. "Trump assigned Flynn and a small circle of other senior advisers to find ways to repair relations with Russia and other hot spots," the statement read. "It was shortly after the election, that President-elect Trump directed Flynn to contact Russian officials on topics that included working jointly against ISIS.”
This significantly undermines the story that the hosts of "The View" celebrated so joyfully.
