Rambo Nanny' swiftly takes down alleged package thief, drags her back to house

A nanny, who noticed through a Ring Video Doorbell that a package was being taken from her client's premises, served an alleged thief some swift justice.

What happened?

Surveillance footage obtained by KCPQ-TV shows a woman exiting the passenger seat of an idling vehicle stopped in front of an Everett, Washington, home Wednesday.

The woman can be seen creeping toward the home and returning to the vehicle grasping a large package.

As the woman attempts to get into the vehicle with the package, she trips and falls. The waiting car, along with the package, leaves her behind as it speeds away.

Enter the nanny, Kate Anderson, who was later dubbed "Rambo Nanny" for her heroic actions.

The video showed Anderson, who was babysitting a 1-year-old inside the home, taking off down her client's driveway and latching onto the suspect, swiftly apprehending her. Anderson can then be seen leading the suspect back to the home, where police, after being notified of the incident, arrived a short time later to take the suspect into custody.

What was the nanny's reaction?

"I saw her bending and picking it up, and [the homeowners] get a lot of packages. And I knew. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, she's taking that, so I just took off after her, to be honest," Anderson told KIRO-TV.

According to KIRO, the suspect was later identified as 29-year-old Rhieanna Schindler, who had a history of arrests, including an outstanding warrant.

"If someone is doing something wrong, I’m not afraid to put them in check," Anderson told KCPQ.
