Conservative videographer Ami Horowitz posted another one of his provocative people-on-the-street interview clips Thursday — and this time he asked folks at the liberal enclave of New York University if his recited statements are from "The Communist Manifesto" or the Democratic Party platform.

Things began gently enough with Horowitz reading the following statement:
Four contestants replied, "The Communist Manifesto." But alas, no one answered correctly. The statement is actually from the Democratic Party platform, Horowitz said.
One confounded player exclaimed, "What? That sounds majorly communist." Only one contestant got it right.

One observer noted she felt as if all the answers were going to be the Democratic Party platform — but this time, the statement was indeed from "The Communist Manifesto." One of two featured contestants got it correct.
The contestants seemed to be on to Horowitz at this point, with two of three correctly guessing that it's from the Democratic Party platform. But some observers in one shot sounded genuinely surprised that it's not from "The Communist Manifesto."

Big wow moments here — all four featured contestants incorrectly guessed the statement is from "The Communist Manifesto." It's a Democratic maxim.

"That sounded just like 'The Communist Manifesto,'" one shocked guy remarked. "Crazy."
One of two featured contestants correctly guessed that the statement is from the ... Democratic Party platform.
By the end of the clip, one blown-away guy was rubbing his head and remarking, "If that's the Democratic Party, then that's ..." He then let loose with a few bleeped-out expletives before concluding, "Aw, man!"
