Viral video sees black man enter Starbucks, demand free 'reparations' coffee. There's a huge catch.

A black man walked into a Starbucks store and demanded free coffee as "reparations" for racism in America — but there's a whole lot more to the story than what's being reported.

What's the catch?

The man, author and speaker Bryan Sharpe, also a vlogger whose handle is Hotep Jesus, appears to be a conservative by every account.

Sharpe, also an online influencer, has published "Twitter Marketing: How to Build a Cult-like Following."

On his video page, he blasts liberals in a large variety of videos, lamenting that "the evil left controls us all."

What happens in the video?

In the video, Sharpe, who is filming from a first-person point of view, can be seen entering a Starbucks.

Sharpe patiently waits for the barista to finish ringing up the customer in front of him when he demands the gratis beverage.

"I heard y'all was racist, so I came to get my free coffee," Sharpe can be heard saying.

The young white barista responds, "I saw that!" referencing the recent Starbucks incident in which two black men were arrested for "defiant trespassing."

The young barista adds that she saw a lot of talk about the incident on social media the previous night, and adamantly says, "Not our store!"

"I heard you guys don’t like black people, so I came to get my Starbucks reparations voucher," Sharpe explains in response.

The barista happily obliges, and asks him if he wants milk or flavoring with his coffee. Sharpe opts for both.

"That’s what I’m talking about! This is justice," Sharpe answers. "This is justice. This is what I’m talking about."

Toward the end of the video, Sharpe can be heard saying, "Black privilege gets me free coffee. I love racism. Only in America."

Sharpe shared the video on his Twitter page, and the video has received over 71,000 views and over 1,000 likes.

Anything else?

When reached for comment, Sharpe tells TheBlaze, "Racism is a business. Thanks to the ridiculousness of BLM activists, it's the new publicity stunt — and I think I just proved it."

On a different note, Starbucks announced on Tuesday that it will close 8,000 stores on May 29 to provide racial-bias training to about 175,000 store associates.
