Biden asked them if they were for Trump before calling them 'Bernie Bros'
Left-wing protesters interrupted a political rally for Joe Biden in Detroit, Michigan, but he blamed President Donald Trump for the pandemonium.
Two sets of protesters disrupted the rally for the Democratic presidential front-runner. One was protesting against the NAFTA trade agreement, while the other advocated for the "Green New Deal."
"The Bernie Bros are here!" Biden said in response. "Let them go, folks, that's OK! This is not a Trump rally!"
Biden lost control of the rally for several minutes as the protesters chanted against him and his supporters counter-chanted, "Let's go, Joe!"
Videos of the disruption were circulated on social media immediately:
"This is what's wrong with American politics!" said Biden to applause from the audience.
"It's just a reflection of what's wrong with American politics," he added.
Security guards appeared to drag out some of the protesters despite Biden's calls to let them go.

Another group of protesters told a CNN reporter that they were a pro-Sanders coalition seeking the repeal of a 1994 crime bill.
Biden's senior aide Symone Sanders tried to accost the protesters and was apparently thrown to the ground during the melee, according to a Politico reporter.
The former vice president has taken the top spot in the Democratic primary race after a blowout performance on "Super Tuesday." Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is in second place.
