Defrocked priest who filmed sex tape with 2 women on a consecrated altar pleads guilty to obscenity charge

A disgraced former priest from Louisiana has pled guilty after witnesses spotted him desecrating a church altar by having sex with two women on top of it.

On September 30, 2020, the unidentified witnesses were passing by Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River, Louisiana, about 45 minutes northeast of New Orleans, when they saw lights on inside the church, which was unusual at that time of night. When the witnesses, who may have also been church parishioners, peered through a window, they saw then-Father Travis Clark engaging in a sexual encounter with two women, later identified as professional dominatrices Mindy Dixon and Melissa Cheng.

When police arrived on the scene, they reportedly discovered stage lighting, sex toys, and a camera mounted on a tripod, which indicated that the three had filmed or attempted to film their tryst. Investigators ultimately determined that all three participants had fully consented to the sexual activity that evening, but all three were still subsequently arrested since their actions took place in public view.

In the days following the incident, Archbishop Gregory Aymond of the Archdiocese of New Orleans called Clark's behavior "demonic" and ordered the altar in question burned. He then consecrated another altar in its place.

Clark, who was ordained in 2013, was defrocked shortly after his arrest. He has since paid the church $8,000 in restitution.

On Monday, Clark, now 39, pled guilty to a single count of felony obscenity. "I plead guilty, your honor," he told District Judge Ellen Creel, a plea that spared him a prison sentence.

Creel issued Clark a suspended sentence of three years behind bars plus three years of probation and a $1,000 fine in addition to the $8,000 he has already given to the church. A representative from the archdiocese attended the hearing and agreed to the sentence.

Clark's attorney, Michael Kennedy, claimed that the probation sentence was unnecessary since Clark will likely never reoffend in the same manner again.

"In this situation, it’s an incredibly specific set of facts and conditions that seem very unlikely to ever happen again," Kennedy stated.

For their part, Dixon and Cheng — who reportedly assume the professional names "Satanatrix" and "Mistress Ming," respectively — both pled guilty to one count each of misdemeanor institutional vandalism back in July. They also both were reportedly willing to testify against Clark, if his case had gone to trial.

The night before their encounter, Dixon allegedly posted on social media that she would soon "defile a house of God."

Both women have been sentenced to serve two years of probation.
