Who does that?
Police in Lauderhill, Florida have charged 23-year-old Mouchika Daniels with child neglect after they allegedly found her 3-year-old daughter wandering alone in the parking lot of a strip club. Daniels was allegedly dancing inside when the child was found.
According to Fox News, police arrived on the scene around 2 a.m. Tuesday and found the child wandering alone in the parking lot crying.
According to local media reports, police were alerted to the situation when an anonymous caller called 911 and reported seeing a child wandering around the parking lot of the Vegas Cabaret gentleman's club.
Police say they arrived on the scene, and when they found the little girl, she directed them to the car where she had been allegedly left by her mother. They reportedly found that the mother had cracked the window for the girl, and left her there in her car seat with some toys.
Around this time, a woman emerged from the club and identified herself as the child's mother, whereupon police took her into custody.
It was not clear how long the child had been left unattended in the car before she escaped and began wandering the parking lot.
Lieutenant Michael Santiago with the Lauderhill Police Department told WFOR-TV that the child was "somewhat confused, reserved, and was a little bit lost," but otherwise not suffering from any apparent physical harm. Santiago continued, "Anything could've happened to that child so we were fortunate enough that the caller was alert while she was driving and was able to see this child."
Daniels was arraigned on Wednesday, and her bond was set at $5,000. The child has been taken to live with her aunt.
