French man accused of drugging wife, inviting 83 men to rape her, filming sex assaults, saving videos in a file labeled 'ABUSES'

A French man is accused of drugging his wife and having at least 83 men rape her over the course of 10 years.

A French man, identified only as Dominique P, allegedly drugged his wife regularly during their marriage. The husband allegedly mixed the anti-anxiety drug Lorazepam into his wife’s dinner between 2011 and 2020.

The husband allegedly would visit an internet forum called "Without Her Knowing," where members would discuss carrying out sexual assault on their unknowing partners. He would recruit strangers to sexually assault his unconscious wife, according to prosecutors.

He would purportedly drug his wife before his "guests" arrived at their home in Mazan, France.

The Telegraph reported, "Tobacco and perfume were banned to avoid strong smells that could waken his wife. The men had to wash their hands in hot water to avoid sudden change of temperature, undress in the kitchen to avoid leaving any clothes in the bedroom, park near a school, and walk in the dark to the house to avoid arousing neighbors’ suspicions."

According to the Toronto Sun, "Cops say the deranged hubby told the men his wife was literally unconscious and that was part of the 'game.' And the accused chimed in that none of the suspected rapists 'gave up going through with sexual acts on his wife given her state.'"

The husband would record the sexual assaults on his wife, according to court documents. He reportedly kept the footage on a USB drive in a file labeled "ABUSES."

Police said the wife was raped at least 92 times by 83 "aggressors," but authorities have only identified 51 suspects. The 51 suspects have been charged with rape and remain in custody. So far, 33 men have been convicted and jailed. There are nine more awaiting trial. The ages of the men range from 26 to 73.

The police said in a statement, "Each individual was in possession of his free will to stop these acts and leave."

Police reportedly discovered the videos of sexual abuse when the husband was arrested in 2020 for allegedly attempting to film women with a hidden camera in a changing room at a store. Authorities allegedly found the USB with videos of the sex attacks on the wife.

The wife allegedly told investigators that she suffered from frequent fatigue, absent-mindedness, and gynecological issues. A medical examination revealed she had four sexually transmitted infections.

The wife purportedly said she had flashbacks of the attacks.

The wife has since filed for divorce. The couple reportedly have been married for more than 50 years and have three children together.

New York Post reported, "It wasn’t immediately clear what charges the husband is facing for his alleged role."

The trial is expected to begin next year.
