Oklahoma man allegedly propositioned strip club dancer about having sex with her 2-year-old daughter

An Oklahoma man is accused of approaching a strip club dancer and making a proposition to have sex with her 2-year-old daughter. The man was arrested for soliciting sex with a toddler, according to police.

Michael Jon Overby, 32, was arrested on Monday and charged with lewd and indecent proposals/acts to a child and accessing a computer with unlawful intent, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

On March 12, Overby allegedly went to the Red Dog Saloon. He met a dancer at the strip club, and she provided him with her phone number.

According to court records obtained by KOKH-TV, Overby reportedly asked the strip club dancer via text messages if he could have sex with her 2-year-old daughter.

Overby purportedly wrote to the dancer, "Do you allow sex with your daughter?"

The woman responded, "We'd have to talk in person."

The woman informed police of the appalling proposal for a child sex crime and agreed to work with authorities.

The district attorney's offices for Cleveland and Lincoln Counties contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department about the disturbing accusations of Overby "attempting to solicit inappropriate physical contact with the toddler."

Oklahoma City Police MSGT. Gary Knight said, "They had come across some information and it was credible information. It was passed on to our detectives who began working the case."

With police assistance, the woman contacted Overby about his proposition to have sex with her toddler daughter on March 16.

The mother said to Overby, "I have been thinking about it. You are not going to do anything to physically hurt her?" She also asked the man what a fair price would be to have sex with her 2-year-old daughter.

Overby purportedly "responded in graphic detail."

Overby told the mother that he would host the alleged child sex crime at his apartment in Cleveland County – which is where Oklahoma City police arrested him on Monday night.

Overby was being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on $200,000 bail.
