Thug takes advantage of unconscious motorist, pulling him from car, stealing vehicle — and running over motorist's legs and pelvis, police say. Victim later dies.

Police said a suspect took advantage of an unconscious motorist at a Memphis gas station last weekend, pulling the man from his car, stealing the vehicle, and, in the process, running over the motorist's legs and pelvis. The victim later died.

What are the details?

Police said surveillance video showed Julian Henry pull up to the Fill N Save in the 1300 block of Winchester early Saturday morning, enter the business, and talk to some people in the parking lot on his way out, WREG-TV reported.

When Henry returned to his Nissan Rogue, he appeared to fall asleep or become unconscious, police told the station.

Investigators told WREG that a few people were able to revive Henry, but he lost consciousness again — and that's when Travis Brown, 38, got out of a white sedan.

Brown was caught on camera pulling Henry out of his SUV, putting his "lifeless body" on the pavement, and then backing up over the victim's legs and pelvis, investigators added to the station.

Henry was pronounced dead at a hospital, WREG said.

What happened next?

Police said Brown and another man — Myshau Jordan — were spotted in the stolen Nissan Rogue a day later and taken into custody after a foot chase, the station reported.

Myshau told detectives he was in the white sedan with Brown and saw him run over Henry’s legs, WREG reported.

Brown was charged with aggravated robbery, property theft, and evading arrest, the station said, adding that he's being held on a $100,000 bond. Jail records indicate his next court date is Dec. 14.

Jordan was booked into the Shelby County Jail on unrelated active drug warrants, WREG noted.

Investigators aren't sure if Henry ingested or inhaled drugs before arriving at the gas station, WREG reported, adding that officials are still waiting for the Shelby County Medical Examiner’s Office to release his cause of death.
