Video: Israeli prof. in fiery speech calls president of his Ivy League school a 'coward' for not denouncing 'pro-terror' student groups 'celebrating' Hamas

An Israeli professor at Columbia University gave a fiery speech Wednesday night during which he called his school's president a "coward" for not denouncing "pro-terror" student groups who've been "celebrating" Hamas' deadly surprise attack against Israel earlier this month.

What are the details?

Business school professor Shai Davidai told a small crowd during an outdoor address on campus that he was speaking as a father of two young children and wanted other parents to know that "we cannot protect your children from pro-terror student organizations because the president of Columbia University will not speak out against pro-terror student organizations!"

He said thousands of students had been "shouting pro-terror songs" not in Gaza or other Middle East nations but "here in New York City" and that they were "celebrating the rape of teenage girls at a music festival in the name of resistance."

Davidai said his young son and daughter both are "a legitimate target of resistance" which he said takes the form of murder, rape, and kidnapping.

'Rape is never OK!" he told the crowd. "Not as an act of resistance, not as an act of revenge! Rape is never OK!"

Davidai angrily called out Columbia's president Minouche Shafik by name for not denouncing "pro-terror" student groups: "You are a coward!"

He added that "if my two-year-old daughter was now 18 years old, I would never, never send her to Columbia! Not because it's not a great institution — it's an amazing institution — but because I know she that will not be protected!"

The 40-year-old educator also called out the presidents of Harvard, Stanford, and the University of California, Berkeley, for not speaking out, either.

According to the Daily Mail, Shafik said she was "devastated by the horrific attack in Israel" but did not denounce Hamas. In a Wednesday statement to the Columbia community regarding the “terror attacks on Israel and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza,” the Columbia Spectator said Shafik acknowledged that many school affiliates are “suffering great distress” and are concerned about “personal security” on campus.

As for Davidai, he described himself as "shivering" in fear regarding the prospect of coming to work at Columbia since the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Indeed, prosecutors said a 19-year-old suspect committed hate crimes last week in tearing down pro-Israel posters at Columbia and hitting an Israeli student with stick.

In addition, the New York Post said the school has refused to comment on tenured professor Joseph Massad calling Hamas’ terror attacks against Israel “awesome” a “stunning victory."

Davidai, directing a few other words toward Shafik, told the school's president that "we are waiting for you to eradicate all pro-terror student organizations from campus."
