This weekend on "The Lawrence Jones Show," Lawrence Jones wondered why the media is blaming President Donald Trump for Republican Congressman Greg Gianforte's "body slam" of a reporter. Gianforte recently won the Montana special election despite his unorthodox reaction to questioning from the press.
The new congressman said Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs walked in during another interview and shoved a recording device in his face, triggering his physical response, for which he has since apologized.
Lawrence quipped that nobody liked the press before Trump ran, so the President can hardly be blamed.
CNN's Don Lemon implied on air that Trump supporter Paris Dennard was insane or at least mistaken if he thinks Donald Trump had nothing to do with the assault. Lawrence asked can't grown men can't make their own choices?
