Boycott urged for Cinncinnati Bengals over this controversial draft pick

An ABC-affiliated TV station is urging football fans to boycott Bengal games after the Cincinnati team drafted Joe Mixon, who was captured on video in 2014 punching a woman in the face and knocking her out.

On Wednesday’s “Pat & Stu,” the guys talked about repercussions for sports stars who are involved in domestic violence and crimes, and debated if they should get another opportunity to make millions in the NFL.

“There were some people who really had issues with him being drafted at all,” Pat Gray said of Mixon. “I guess you can debate: Did the guy pay … for his crime? Did he serve enough time being punished? Should that eliminate you from the NFL for all time?”

Mixon recently reached a civil settlement with the assault victim. The running back fell to the second round of the draft due to the 2014 incident.

“If you believe in redemption, should he get another chance?” Pat wondered. “I think most of us believe in repentance. Has he repented?”

To see more from Pat & Stu, visit their channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “Pat & Stu” with Pat Gray, Stu Burguiere and Jeffy Fisher weekdays 5–7 p.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
