Doc Thompson is upset after reports of President George W. Bush indirectly criticizing President Trump.
Doc gave credit to President Bush for keeping his mouth shut during President Obama's presidency, but Doc feels now we have a problem because of what President Bush decided to say. Bush considers "the media to be indispensable to democracy," and how we need an independent media to hold people accountable as power can be very addictive and corrosive.
Doc asks why Bush "didn't say a damn thing when Obama was killing America." Doc points out that if you cannot say that Trump is better than Obama, then you are out of your mind.
