On Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” the guys talked about the latest rumors swirling around former national security adviser Steve Bannon, who may or may not be out of a White House job, as well as President Donald Trump’s policy reversals.
Glenn described Bannon’s political ideology as: “He believes ‘burn the system to the ground,’ and then we can start all over again, which is madness.”
Formerly a close adviser to Trump, Bannon has since been dismissed by the president as “a guy who works for me.” Stu Burguiere noted that, “there is a lot of speculation that he isn’t gonna make it to Monday,” regarding Bannon's continued fall from grace.
The “burn it down” philosophy no longer fits with Trump’s policies because the president keeps reversing himself on key campaign stances. Glenn expressed his concerns about the voters who really believed that Trump would become president to help them.
“The thing that I worry about are the people that really, truly felt that they were not being heard, and they bought into the ‘China is stealing your jobs’ and ‘I’m going to start a trade war with China’ and ‘currency manipulator,’ and then he reverses himself this week on all of that. You kind of feel, has he become Paul Ryan? Has he become another Republican sellout?”
