Glenn: No president should have this much power -- here's what we can do about it
July 12, 2017
If you took the time, you could come up with 1,000 issues where the government can directly affect your life in a negative way, Glenn Beck said on Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
Government is infringing so much on our lives that schools aren’t working with parents anymore on decisions for their own kids, a caller said on Wednesday’s show. Lisa from Texas wondered how we can best exist in our communities and in our society as a whole when we have an overly controlling government.
“No president should have so much power that he makes us sick to our stomach,” Glenn Beck said in response to her concerns. Regardless of which party is in power, the president and the government as a whole should never have gotten this close to our lives.
“This isn’t going away,” Glenn said. “This is going to be a fight.”
Glenn urged the audience to look at where we are as a country and face the fact that “overthrowing the system” isn’t the answer; instead, we need to take small steps forward.
“There is a way out, but we have to start moving that direction,” he said.
