‘Sologamy’ is a new wedding trend, but here's why you shouldn't marry yourself

Women who want to throw a party and wear a dress but haven’t gotten engaged are doing it in anyway with a trend called “sologamy,” which means marrying yourself.

Laura Mesi, a 40-year-old fitness trainer, married herself in Italy and had a white dress, 70 guests, wedding cake and even bridesmaids.

While sharing this headline on "The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson," Keith Malinak didn’t know what to think about this trend. Doc was 100 percent sure he would never marry himself because he knows himself too well.

“I don’t like myself that much,” Doc said. How did he tie the knot in real life? “See, I slickered my wife into marrying me,” he said. “I know who I am. I wouldn’t marry me.”

To see more from Doc, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” weekdays 6–9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
