Texas Congressman calls for scrutiny of former Obama officials

Today on the "Chris Salcedo Show," Chris Salcedo welcomed Congressman Brian Babin of Texas’ 36th congressional district to discuss the various failures and wrongdoings of the Democrats. Babin serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.

Chris asked the congressman's thoughts on Keith Ellison's (D-Minn) comments at the University of Minnesota, blaming former president Barack Obama for the Democrats' collapse in the 2016 election. Babin agreed with Ellison, adding that Obama has been "a complete disaster for our entire country."

The discussion went on to other Democrats that are believed to have hurt America, such as former national security adviser Susan Rice, whom Babin has asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate for unmasking names of American citizens for political purposes.  Sessions needs to look very seriously into the "fire behind this smoke," Babin said. He believes Democrats assumed they would win, avoiding scrutiny and inquiry into their behavior.

Chris suggested that Rice can't be "the only one." Babin agreed that there needs to be a full and thorough investigation to see who is leftover from the previous administration that is trying to subvert the current one. They specifically cited ex-Internal Revenue Service employee Lois Lerner as "weaponizing" the IRS against conservatives. "I call on [the Department of Justice] to reopen the IRS investigation of Lois Lerner" right now, Babin said.

Chris agreed, stating "Being liberal ought not insulate you from being held unaccountable for your illegal actions."
