Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch of the United Kingdom, enjoys four cocktails per day. Town and Country reports that the 91-year-old, who served in her country’s military during World War II, has a gin on the rocks with Dubonnet and lemon – before noon.
She has a glass of wine with lunch, a dry martini with dinner, and a glass of champagne before bed, leading “Pure Opelka’s” Mike Opelka to remark on Tuesday, “Because, why wouldn’t you? You’re the Queen, for gosh’s sake.”
Her Majesty is also reported to enjoy sensible, low-starch meals, but doesn’t skimp on a piece of chocolate with lunch or a pastry with afternoon tea.
Mike worked out that she consumes 28 cocktails a week, which is construed as binge drinking by some standards. But she spaces them out, and Mike suspected she must not take any medications with that cocktail regimen – pretty impressive for 91.
