Trump bullying the Freedom Caucus is a losing strategy

Doc Thompson, host of "The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson," analyzed President Donald Trump's attacks on the House Freedom Caucus and also had some advice for the President.

"He's getting in people's faces. I like that. Got a good Supreme Court pick, I like that a lot. But when you throw the conservatives underneath the bus -- the ones who are, doing what? Demanding excellence? And you do that in favor of Democrats? You are wrong. Period," Thompson said.

Doc believed he had an idea of what Trump's strategy is:

"He's simply bullying them. He thinks he can call them out. And the way he does it is by Twitter to make them look bad, and he thinks they're going to fall in line."

Doc questioned what the President thought he would accomplish by attacking those in Congress who care more about their principles than winning the next election:

"You think you're going to scare these people away? ... Most members of the Freedom Caucus are people who are willing to put it on the line and willing to lose their seats for their values and principles."
