In 2006, a documentary titled “Who Killed the Electric Car?” explored the creation, publicizing, and eventual decline in popularity of the electric vehicle in the United States. The documentary blamed everything from ineffective advertising to President George Bush for the marketing failure of the energy efficient vehicles.
Today on “Pat and Stu,” Stu Burguiere had a much more straight-forward theory: “The quality of the automobile is what killed it,” Stu told Pat Gray and Jeffy Fisher. “If you notice, Tesla's not having too much problems selling cars.
“You build a good car and, shockingly, people will buy it,” said Pat.
