Ocasio-Cortez attempted to 'call-out' BlazeTV and it didn't end well for her

The art of snark is not for everyone

On Monday's episode of "Pat Gray Unleashed," Pat Gray and Keith Malinak discussed New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's attempt to "call-out" BlazeTV — or put in more realistic terms, attempted to engage in a round of snark on Twitter. It may come as no surprise to know that Ocasio-Cortez lost that round.

The Pinocchio test scale

Keith mentioned that the Washington Post fact-checked the 29-year-old congresswoman and found her to be deserving of three Pinocchios:

Three Pinocchios:

"Significant factual error and/or obvious contradictions. This gets into the realm of "mostly false." But it could include statements which are technically correct (such as based on official government data) but are so taken out of context as to be very misleading. The line between Two and Three can be bit fuzzy, and we do not award half-Pinocchios. So we strive to explain the factors that tipped us toward a Three."

What else?

Ocasio-Cortez claimed that she used "rhetorical devices" to make her political points. Keith joked that if the congresswoman speaks using rhetoric often, then perhaps she was not intellectually honest when she claimed the earth would likely end in 12-years if we do not stop the effects of 'climate change."
