WATCH: Ocasio-Cortez says the 'New Green Deal' will 'establish economic, social, and racial justice in America'
December 06, 2018
On Thursday's episode of "Pat Gray Unleashed," Pat highlighted the ridiculous comments that New York Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made recently during a panel discussion about climate change and renewable energy.
Ocasio-Cortez explained that if the U.S. would adopt her "New Green Deal" and transition to 100 percent renewable energy that the U.S. economic and social 'injustice' would no longer be a problem.
"It is not just possible that we will create jobs and economic activity by transitioning to renewable energy, but it is inevitable that we are going to create jobs. It is inevitable that we are going to create industry. And it is inevitable that we can use the transition to 100 percent renewable energy as the vehicle to truly deliver and establish economic, social and racial justice in America," Ocasio-Cortez said.
Pat asserted that it is asinine to believe that a shift from capitalism to socialism and renewable energy will magically fix income inequality never mind heal racial divides. He went on to say that we already have a system in place that encourages equality: Capitalism, adding that our current system has brought more people out of poverty than any other system known.
