Actor Robert De Niro calls Trump a ‘scumbag’ – and his tirade doesn’t stop there
April 06, 2018
What’s going on?
Actor Robert De Niro slammed everyone from President Donald Trump to his supporters to the NRA in an interview with IndieWire this week.
What did he say?
On Parkland student activists: “They’re the ones that feel the way we do, not the way the gun lovers and the NRA do, with all that idiocy to the point of absurdity.”
On Roseanne Barr’s Trump support: “I have no interest in that. We’re at a point with all of us this where it’s beyond trying to see another person’s point of view.”
On America: “We’re at a point where the things that are happening in our country are so bad and it comes from Trump.”
Doc’s take:
On today’s show, Doc was sick of Hollywood elites who are just trying to alienate half the country. De Niro is blaming Trump for the country’s problems instead of looking in the mirror.
“Robert De Niro, you … you are part of the problem,” Doc said. “Based on what you just said, you did something wrong and you are being a bad person.”
