Negotiations are underway for a spending bill that lawmakers hope will be able to avoid a government shutdown by the end of the week. President Donald Trump is now making a concession that will help make it easier for all sides to agree on a bill by backing off on his demands to fund a wall along the Mexican border…for now.
On Tuesday's "Dana" spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council Chris Cabrera implored legislators who are against the border wall or "dragging their feet" in funding it to "take a walk in my shoes."
He told Dana Loesch that not everyone who comes across the border is dangerous or intent on doing harm, but to really understand the urgency, he encouraged lawmakers to "pitch a tent and sleep out there" to witness the perils that agents face daily.
