Videos circulating on social media show crowds of Iranian protesters taking to the streets chanting, “Death to the dictator! Death to Khamenei! Death to Rouhani!" and "Islamic regime must get lost!”
On Tuesday, the Trump administration reimposed sanctions — which were lifted as part of the Obama administration’s "Iran nuclear deal" — that will target Iranian gold and other precious metals, coal, the automotive sector and "software used in industrial processes.”
However, the ire of the Iranian protesters doesn't appear to be aimed at the United States or the recently reimposed sanctions. They've had enough of the Iranian regime channeling money to groups like Hezbollah, Hamas and the war in Syria, instead of fixing their own economy.
Khamenei says: 👉'America is our enemy'
But people in #Iran chant:👉'Our enemy is right here (=Iran's regime)

Sheer bravery by #Iran's youngsters starting up #IranProtests in Shiraz tonight. First they chant against high prices, then they chant "Iranians, enough is enough. Let's show them some spine" & finally "Death to the dictator" (Film via MEK activists) #FreeIran2018 @RealJamesWoods pic.twitter.com/qU4wU14tj4
