Clowns brace for 'anti-clown paranoia' with 'It' remake

Send in the clowns … or not.

Stephen King’s “It” is getting a big reboot, and the clown industry is not happy, saying the upcoming film means “another wave of anti-clown paranoia.”

Professional clowns are afraid that the new movie will further damage the industry, which is already shrinking. Glenn Beck and his cohorts reacted to the story this morning on "The Glenn Beck Program."

A 42-year-old clown who goes by the name “Gilly” said, “It’s going to be bad for clowns,” Glenn reported.

The “It” remake, which is slated for a Sept. 8 release, broke a record when its trailer had nearly 200 million views within 24 hours of its release. “It,” “Pennywise,” and other references to the film also trended on Twitter.
