Colbert grills Bill Clinton over 'tone-deaf' answer, gives president a brutal 'do over
June 06, 2018
This must be the book tour from hell for former President Bill Clinton. It was easy to see that he was visibly uncomfortable during an interview on NBC's the "Today" show on Monday where he was asked about the #MeToo movement and his reputation with women over the years.
Clinton is currently on a book tour for his first novel but all anyone can talk about is Monica Lewinsky and his handful of accusers. On Tuesday, Clinton sat down again with the media. This time with "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert who allowed Clinton to clarify some of the things he said on NBC regarding his sexual affair in the Oval Office with a former White House intern in the era of #MeToo.
Even though Colbert called Clinton's responses "tone-deaf" he allowed the former president to clarify a few things.
