Penn Jillette was at a Massachusetts Institute of Technology media lab event when he heard someone say that if we want to save lives, we need not worry about terrorism or disease. He claimed what we really needed were, self driving cars.
Jillette explained why to Glenn Beck on a recent "Glenn," citing the sheer weight and size of most automobiles and the various failings of human drivers.
Glenn, who has a collection of older, heavier cars, wondered if he will have to go to a racetrack to drive in the future. He cited Tesla's advances as evidence that we may soon take human beings completely out of the driving equation.
