A doctor in Houston, Texas who says he found a cure for cancer has been placed on a five-year probation.
Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski has a multitude of charges filed against him by the Texas Medical Board over the past three years, including misleading terminally ill patients The Board has also ordered him to pay $60,000 in fines and restitution.
Some observers expressed disappointment that the penalty was remarkably light in comparison to the $360,000 in penalties the Board was reportedly considering.
