Glenn: Be cautious about email between Trump, Russia -- 'consequences are astronomical
July 11, 2017
What did we learn about President Donald Trump and Russia on Monday?
Glenn Beck broke down the New York Times report about new evidence of connections between the Trump administration and the Kremlin on Tuesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
The story from the Trump family kept changing as President Donald Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. attempted to explain a meeting between the latter and a Russian lawyer that was reportedly about digging up dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Glenn clarified that the latest report came down to whether or not the email described in it was real. Based on the reported email, Trump Jr. knew that the June 2016 meeting was part of the Russian government’s efforts to aid his father’s presidential campaign. The information about Clinton that was dangled to lure Trump Jr. to the meeting was coming from the Russian government.
“This is so critical that I don’t think we take anybody’s word,” Glenn cautioned. “We don’t assume that this email is real, exists or even says this because I believe the consequences of this email are astronomical.”
