Glenn: Trump needs to ‘excoriate’ both of these groups for health care debacle

President Donald Trump needs to fulfill his promises to voters about health care and “excoriate both sides” for failing the American people, Glenn Beck said on Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”

The government and the health care industry are together responsible for spiking health care costs thanks to crony capitalism, and Republican lawmakers aren’t taking this collusion seriously.

“That’s not the game they’re playing in Washington,” Glenn said.

Republicans in the Senate failed to pass the “skinny repeal” of the Affordable Care Act Thursday night, Sens. John McCain (Ariz.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) voting against the measure.

Called a “skinny repeal” because it would have only partially repealed Obamacare, the bill included provisions to repeal the individual mandate; eliminate penalties on employers without insurance plans; and give states the option to apply for waivers that would give them more flexibility.

“While the amendment would have repealed some of Obamacare’s most burdensome regulations, it offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens,” McCain said in a statement on his vote.
