Glenn: UN meeting this week means it's time to reform corruption

What’s happening?

President Donald Trump is meeting this week with world leaders in his first appearance before the U.N. General Assembly. It’s an opportunity for him to persuade other countries to pressure North Korea with sanctions and push for other U.S. interests.

Key issues and players:

A big item on the agenda is U.N. reform. The U.S. foots a big chunk of the bill to fund U.N. efforts, which are often hurting people instead of helping because the U.N. has long been plagued with corruption, fraud and mismanagement.

Two leaders who won’t be there this week are China's President Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.

Glenn’s take:

“Follow the money; follow the power,” Glenn said this morning on “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.” Russia and China have no interest in U.N. reform because the current system benefits them too much.
