#METOO? Oakland escapee was illegal immigrant convicted of abusing a spouse

Progressives say they want to reduce gun crime and stop violence toward women, so why don’t they seem to care if illegal immigrants are perpetrating these crimes?

Last month, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf warned locals that ICE was about to conduct a raid, something the agency says allowed hundreds to escape.

In the latest update, three of those illegal immigrants were Mexican nationals who have since been arrested for other crimes – on top of prior convictions for gun crimes and spousal battery.

• The first man, who was arrested on robbery and firearm charges, had been earlier released by local jail officials under “sanctuary” policies.
• The second man was arrested for “corporal injury of a spouse.” He had been deported twice already and had multiple prior convictions, including for DUI and hit-and-run.
• The third man, who had been deported three times previously, was arrested for drunk driving. He had previous convictions of DUIs, battery of a spouse and false imprisonment.
