Did you know that nearly 100,000 members of Generation Z are already homeowners?

At age 23 and younger, many Gen Z-ers are ready to own their car and their home, representing a big change from the millennial generation, which characteristically opted to rent instead.

A 2016 survey from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate found that a whopping 97 percent of Generation Z envision being homeowners in the future, while 82 percent say owning a home is the biggest part of the American Dream.

Chef Patrick talked about this intriguing trend on today's show. Besides investing in homes and cars, Gen Z-ers enjoy dining out and aren't afraid to spend some serious money on food.
