Penn Jillette: Novels have set the entire human race on a more positive course
May 26, 2017
Glenn Beck recently sat down with author and magician Penn Jillette on "Glenn" where they discussed the development of human nature.
Jillette brought up Steven Pinker's book "The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined" which explains why things have gotten infinitely better for the human race over time.
Jillette discussed how art and novels help people empathize with their fellow man and that virtual reality may amplify that compassion in the future. He juxtaposed that with what we posting on social media and asserted that that is not reflective of the entirety of human sentiment.
