People make good choices': Mayor defends his city's $500 basic income plan

Stockton, California is preparing a universal basic income program that will give $500 each month to low-income families. Mayor Michael Tubbs says the experimental program will show that “the people of Stockton will make good choices and the right choices for themselves and their families” when they’re given money with no strings attached. On today’s show, Doc wasn’t sure about that logic. What happens when you give people money and even take away the minimal structure that welfare provides?
