Student's racist 'cotton picking' promposal goes viral

A senior at Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida, decided to ask a girl to the prom by holding up a sign that read, "If I was black I'd be picking cotton, but I'm white so I'm picking u 4 Prom?"

What was he thinking?

The teen's potential date posted a picture, complete with two heart-eye emojis, on Snapchat over the weekend and it immediately sparked outrage.
