Taco Bell is the country's favorite "Mexican restaurant," surpassing Chipotle and Moe's Southwest Grill in a new survey.
The Harris Poll EquiTrend Study gauges a brand's popularity based on consumer's familiarity with the brand, the quality of the food offered and the likelihood that they'll consider returning to the restaurant in the future.
Could Chipotle make a comeback?

Chef Patrick pointed out that Chipotle recently acquired a secret weapon. Brian Niccol, the CEO who turned Taco Bell around, is now bringing his expertise to Chipotle. The Mexican-inspired burrito and bowl chain reigned as No. 1 in the Harris study before food poisoning at several locations undermined its brand in 2016.
