The interwar defensive pact in central Europe that might have stopped World War II

Glenn Beck tells the story of Polish Chief of State Józef Piłsudski's attempts following World War I to forge the Intermarium, a defensive pact stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea, which would have protected central Europe from the advances of both the Soviet Union and the forthcoming German Reich. While Piłsudski was unsuccessful, his strategy has been resurrected in the form of the American-led Operation Atlantic Resolve, which seeks to reinforce this region with U.S. troops to halt any attempted Russian advance into eastern and central Europe. The implications of this strategy grow with each passing day.

"How will western Europe evolve once the EU dissolves?" Glenn wonders. "Will Russia take advantage? Do we fear, as Poland once did, a volatile western Europe as well as a volatile Russia? The Intermarium may be the only line of defense."
