Yes, the world has gotten more complicated. But on the bright side, the violent crime rate is plummeting, more countries have access to technology and information, and airplanes are much safer. On today's show, Doc wanted to review some positive statistics showing how much the world has changed in a good way in recent years. Did you know that in 1820, only 12 percent of the world could read and write, but today, just 17 percent of people worldwide are illiterate?
