New York Times-bestselling author Ian Doescher shared the story behind his series that puts the Star Wars characters into a world where they sound like a William Shakespeare play. He pointed to a certain popular mashup book that helped inspire him and explained which themes in Star Wars were surprisingly easy to tie to Shakespeare.
“There’s so many themes that overlap between the two,” Doescher said. “There are young people who are fulfilling their destinies, there are really evil villains, there are comic side characters, issues of love and romance.”
