Watch: ‘Love yourself’? College appears to cancel self-pleasure workshop event after backlash
February 07, 2018
College kids apparently have a lot to learn.
The Undergraduate Student Government of Arizona State University, Tempe was planning to host a workshop on masturbation titled “Go Love Yourself.”
While the event seems to have been pulled from Facebook, Campus Reform grabbed screenshots of the event description, which advertised a “shame-free, pleasure-focused discussion about masturbation and self-exploration to get the pleasure you want and deserve.”
Campus Reform writer Nikita Vladimirov joined today’s show to talk about this odd story. Schools try to justify hosting and funding events like this one by saying it’s about health.
“Every time these programs get criticized in the media or in the press, they say, ‘Oh, but it’s for health-related reasons. But all that is, is a talking point,” Vladimirov explained.
