GOP candidates are packing heat

Republicans and guns go together hand-in-holster and nearly all of the GOP candidates running for president claim to own one, according to a report by The Daily Caller.

What kind?

Michele Bachmann: prefers semi-automatic rifles, her spokeswoman said.

Rick Santorum: He owns seven and his favorite is a Kimber 1911 pistol, said his spokesman.

Ron Paul: Somewhat predictably, his spokesman wouldn't say much about Paul's gun collection (for practical purposes) other than acknowledging that he does own at least one. "[A] good 2nd Amendment person doesn’t tip off home invaders what guns are in the house and how many he has," he said.

Jon Huntsman: prefers a .22 rifle, according to his spokesman.

The jury is still out on whether Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney own any guns.
