Have You Noticed the Left's Destruction of Freedom of Speech?

Conservative viewpoints are being framed as out of the mainstream, out of touch and at worst hate-speech in Obama's America. The American left, with a good deal of help from the biased press, is succeeding at almost criminalizing speech.

Have you noticed how successful Christian business-building brothers were denied a TV show on HGTV for believing that marriage is between a man and a woman?

Did you notice how Tim Tebow was savaged by the sports and mainstream press for his Christian beliefs? Yet, the Michael Sam pick by the Saint Louis Rams was heralded by ESPN as the most memorable moment of the 2014 draft? With apologies to the others who were drafted of course.

I thought the goal was for our fellow citizens in the gay community to be treated like everyone else, not set apart for special adulation because they are gay.

Have you noticed that if one embraces the THEORY that man is the driving force behind changing global temperatures, one is considered a hero? But if one embraces the THEORY that the sun has more to do with global temperatures, the left-wing biased press labels one an idiot?

Have you noticed how the Catholic church's teaching that abortion is immoral is now considered torture by the United Nations? At the same time however, Harvard was ready to host a "Black Mass," and few "tolerant" liberals batted an eye.

I'm forced to wonder if a slap in the face to Islam would be tolerated on college campuses as readily as this slight to Catholics was embraced by Godless progressives.

Have you noticed that Brandeis University denied an honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a woman who underwent genital mutilation under Islamic doctrine? All the while The Council on American-Islamic Relations insists that the terms "Jihadist" and "Islamist Extremism" be removed from the Sept. 11 museum?

Have you noticed that the left's agenda really isn't equality? Have you noticed that in Obama's liberal utopia that more and more of us are not allowed to have differing views? Have you noticed that the collectivist mind-set has trickled down from government into the culture?

It's this liberal creep that has inspired liberal columnist Kathleen Parker to conclude, "Speaking one’s mind isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be."

The statement, as it was pointed out by fellow liberal Bill Maher, is pretty incredible since Ms. Parker makes her living speaking her mind. (Cue to 2:45 for the good part).

But you see, that's different. She's an extremist liberal. And if one is an extremist liberal one gets a, "get out of jail," free card to utter all sorts of nonsense about one's thoughts.

It's clear to any objective observer that the left's goal is preserve tolerance, freedom of speech and accommodation in the press ONLY if one agrees with liberal ideology.

For we conservatives, in the "Extremist Left-Wing Era of Obama," the goal is the destruction of individual thought and inalienable rights.
