Rep. Trent Franks says Obama is the Most Dangerous President Ever

Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks explains why Obama so dangerous for America.

Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) had some choice words for President Barack Obama this week. Franks called him "the most dangerous president this country has ever seen," and said that "if his goal was to diminish America, he has been quite competent. But if his goal was to strengthen America, then he has been...incredibly incompetent."

The comments came during an interview with Mallory Factor earlier this week. Franks touched on the defund Obamacare debate, U.S. intervention in Syria, the deteriorating U.S.-Israel relationship and the future of war. Franks said he was concerned for Israel, who has cautiously watched the current administration has paid "lip service" to our long-term ally instead of making policy. He said that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad made a "calculated decision" to use chemical weapons on his own people because, in part, he had watched Obama do nothing to interfere and stop Iranian or North Korean ambitions for nuclear weapons.

"Jihadists are laughing at the administration," he said.

Franks was confident that Obamacare would either be defunded by Congress or declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court because of a long-standing clause in the Constitution: The Origination Clause. The clause stipulates that all taxes and revenues must be generated by the House of Representatives. Franks said that the Supreme Court decision that made Obamacare a tax bill (because it raised revenue in 17 different places) and because the bill originated in the Democratic-controlled Senate, it was pretty clear that it was unlawful.

"Either the Obamacare is a dead letter or the origination clause is, we can't have both," he said.
